Brewers’ Home Opener: New Parking Technology Glitch Causes Frustration but Promises of Resolution

AmFam Field to return to traditional parking process while new technology problems are fixed

The Brewers held their home opener on Tuesday, introducing new parking technology that used license plate recognition. However, some fans reported issues with activating their parking passes as the server holding them was not functioning properly. The team reassured fans that nobody would be cited for parking and promised to find a solution. If necessary, they would revert back to the system used in the previous year.

Brewers President of Business Operations Rick Schlesinger addressed the problems during the game and apologized to fans for any inconvenience caused by the technology glitch. He promised to work quickly to resolve the issue and thanked fans for their patience. Meanwhile, Interstate Parking, the vendor responsible for the parking technology, issued a statement explaining that connectivity problems were due to a configuration issue on their end and were not linked to the Brewers or MLB Ballpark App. They were working hard to fix the problem as soon as possible but would return to traditional parking methods for the next game. This would involve cashiers scanning prepaid passes and accepting payment for day-of-game parking upon arrival. The vendor also apologized for any inconvenience caused and emphasized that no parking citations were issued during the game.
