Ex-NFL Quarterback Vince Young Involved in Chaotic Bar Fight: Alarming Video Goes Viral

Ex-NFL Quarterback Vince Young implicated in altercation at Houston bar

In early February, a chaotic altercation involving former NFL quarterback and UT alumnus Vince Young took place at Tokyo Joe’s in Houston. A video that went viral showed Young involved in the fight, where someone appeared to knock him unconscious.

Young was seen by the bar with a group of people who were arguing. The situation escalated quickly as more people approached him, getting in his face, and one person even threw a drink. The group eventually moved to the other side of the bar, attracting more participants and spectators.

During the scuffle, Young was punched by one of the men involved in the fight, causing him to fall to the ground briefly before getting back up. The reason behind the fight remains unclear. According to ABC 13, bar staff members were involved in the fight and called 911. The Houston Police Department stated that the incident occurred on Feb. 4 around 10 p.m., with the bar manager opting not to press charges.

Vince Young is one of UT’s most renowned former athletes, known for his football career from 2002 to 2004. He then played in the NFL for six seasons and was the runner-up for the 2005 Heisman Trophy.
