A group of Patient Care Technicians from Columbiana County Career and Technical Center recently received national certification through the National Healthcareer Association. These professionals are crucial in providing direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, performing tasks such as monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, collecting specimens, and offering support to patients and their families.

Pam Dawson, RN and Health Academy Instructor at the Columbiana County Career and Technical Center, commended the students for their dedication and success in earning this certification. She highlighted the competitive advantage that comes with national certification, whether the students choose to enter the workforce or pursue higher education.

The students who earned national certification as Patient Care Technicians include Lexi Kelly, Kyrstin Reckner, Emma Julian, Abbie Passmore, Peyton Swanson, Alee Keyes, Megan Moore, Kamryn Martin, Alissa Frantz, Ariana Gonzalez, Cheyenne Schwartz, and Marah Morris. These students have completed extensive training and have demonstrated proficiency in their duties.
