Julian Thomas Elementary School Students Receive Recognition for Participation in Fresh Air Science Fair Focused on Clean Air Pollution

Bango honors champions of Racine Elementary School’s Fresh Air Science Fair

Recently, students at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine were recognized for their participation in the Fresh Air Science Fair that took place over two months. The fair began on February 1st with students forming teams and submitting projects that focused on clean air pollution. Entries were judged based on research quality, data analysis and the creativity of presentation.

The winners of the fair were announced during an award assembly on Wednesday, March 27th, which was attended by Milwaukee Bucks mascot Bango and the trampoline dunking team, the Rim Rockers. Prizes were awarded to the first-place team members who received three tickets to the April 10th Bucks game against the Orlando Magic, as well as transportation to and from the game and concession stand vouchers to use at Fiserv Forum during the game. Second and third-place teams received Bucks merchandise as their prizes.

The event was made possible through a partnership between Modine, Milwaukee Bucks, Racine Unified School District, and United Way of Racine County. Congratulations to all of the winners of the Fresh Air Science Fair at Julian Thomas Elementary School in Racine!
