A devastating fire on March 18 has left a family of eight children and their parents homeless in Charleston, West Virginia. The Backus family is now trying to rebuild their lives after losing everything in the fire.

The community is coming together to support the Backus family in their time of need. Corey Austin, a manager at Lola’s on Bridge Road, has known the Backus family for years and expressed his love for them and their children, describing them as awesome. In an effort to help the family during this difficult time, Lola’s has decided to donate all proceeds from Tuesday evening to the Backus family.

All sales from the evening, including in-house dining and to-go orders, will go directly to the family. This generous gesture by Lola’s is a way to support the family as they work to recover from the fire. Additionally, the restaurant will continue to accept donations for the Backus family throughout the week.
