National Resource Guide for Health Plan Providers Affected by Change Healthcare Cyberattack

Health Plan Resource Guide for Hospitals and Providers Affected by Cyberattacks issued by HHS

The Departments of Health and Human Services (HHS), Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have come together to create a national resource guide that provides contact information for health plan providers. This guide is intended to help hospitals and healthcare providers affected by the recent Change Healthcare cyberattack, which has caused significant disruptions for many.

In order to address some of the difficulties that providers are facing during this time, the agencies have encouraged them to review the voluntary cybersecurity performance goals that were released earlier this year. In addition to these goals, individuals can find valuable resources on the AHA Change Healthcare cyberattack update webpage.

This webpage includes an announcement from CMS regarding accelerated and advance payments to impacted hospitals and physicians, as well as frequently asked questions and an informational bulletin on actions states can take to help Medicaid providers affected by the cyberattack. For further questions or information, individuals can reach out to Molly Smith, AHA group vice president of policy at mollysmith@aha.org.
