At the 2019 Gamescom gaming trade fair in Cologne, Germany, visitors had the opportunity to try out the latest version of Dragon Ball Z Kakarot. The popular game attracted a lot of attention from fans and gamers alike who were eager to experience the exciting new features. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has recently announced plans to build the first-ever Dragon Ball Z theme park as part of its Qiddiya project. This 5.3 million square foot entertainment venue will feature seven different areas inspired by the original Japanese anime television series, along with over 30 themed rides, hotels, and restaurants. The park is set to have five “world first” rides, including a 230-foot-high roller coaster named Shenron after the series’ magical dragon.

In addition to the theme park, Saudi Arabia has been investing heavily in video games and anime. Collaborations between Japan-based Toei Animation and MiSK, a foundation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, have resulted in new anime movies.
