Scarlett Johansson to Star in Upcoming Jurassic World Movie, Reviving the Iconic Franchise: Behind the Scenes and Anticipations

Scarlett Johansson rumored to star in upcoming Jurassic World film

Scarlett Johansson is in talks to star in an upcoming Jurassic World movie, following in the footsteps of her Marvel co-star Chris Pratt. Pratt led the previous films and brought back original cast members Sam Neill and Laura Dern, earning over $1 billion globally.

Directed by Gareth Edwards, known for The Creature and Godzilla, the new Jurassic World film will have a screenplay written by David Koepp, who penned the original Jurassic Park film. The upcoming reboot is expected to focus on new characters with production set to begin soon for a summer 2025 release.

Aside from this project, Scarlett Johansson has recently appeared in Wes Anderson’s Asteroid City and the comedy North Star. She will also star alongside Channing Tatum in an untitled romantic comedy set during the 1960s space race. Johansson will also lead the TV series adaptation of legal thriller Just Cause, written by recent Oscar-winner Cord Jefferson.

With all the Jurassic movies combined, the franchise has grossed over $6 billion at the worldwide box office. The latest installment featuring Scarlett Johansson is highly anticipated by fans of the series and is set to be a major summer blockbuster in 2025 along with other big releases like Superman: Legacy and Mission: Impossible 8.
