Tech Innovation Leaders Set to Revamp Government Services with Presidential Innovation Fellows Program”.

GSA Launches New Class of Presidential Innovation Fellows to Prioritize Technology Modernization

The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced the members of the first Presidential Innovation Fellows (PIF) cohort to be launched this year. As part of Technology Transformation Services, PIF recruits technology and innovation leaders from the private sector and places them within federal agencies as strategic advisers. This program aims to support government leaders in addressing various national priorities.

This year’s 12th PIF class consists of 21 fellows who will focus on technology modernization goals. In addition, a second cohort is set to launch later this year, with a focus on artificial intelligence in alignment with the Executive Order on the Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Development and Use of Artificial Intelligence. GSA Administrator Robin Carnahan expressed excitement about how these innovators will work alongside agency leaders to improve service delivery for the American people.

Since its inception in 2012, PIF has recruited over 250 fellows who have made significant contributions to public service. Some of their achievements include enhancing data sharing at the Department of Veterans Affairs and supporting technology modernization efforts at the Department of Justice. The program aims to continue leveraging the expertise of private sector leaders to drive innovation and improve government services.
