Unleashing the Power of Science: The Da Vinci Science Center Set to Open in Allentown

Opening Date Announced for Da Vinci Science Center in Allentown

The Da Vinci Science Center, a world-class facility that aims to inspire lives through science, is set to open in Allentown on May 22. After nearly two years of construction, the center has announced its new location at PPL Pavilion and the first exhibit will be “Dinos Alive!”, which focuses on dinosaurs. The facility spans 67,000 square feet and offers interactive experiences such as exploring the inner workings of the human body and getting an up-close visit with North American River Otters in the Pocono Ravine.

In addition to interactive exhibits, the center will also house classrooms, laboratories, and interactive workshops. Lin Erickson, Executive Director and CEO, expressed her excitement about welcoming the community to the Lehigh Valley’s newest premier science center. She mentioned that the vision for a world-class science center would not have been possible without the strong support from everyone in the Lehigh Valley and beyond. The mission of the center is to bring science to life and to inspire lives through science. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s insatiable curiosity, this new science center aims to immerse visitors in experiences unlike any other.

The current location of the Da Vinci Science Center at Cedar Crest College will close on April 1, with tickets for the new center going on sale in mid-April.
